    • S. employment picture brightens.
    • The U.S. unemployment rate was 4.3% in January 2026, with 7.4 million people unemployed. The rate saw a slight decrease from 4.4% in December 2025, although it remains higher than the 4.0% rate recorded a year prior. Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 130,000, driven by gains in health care and construction.
    • The labor force expanded to 171.88 million, and while the unemployment rate is up from the 50-year low of 3.4% in April 2023, the economy continues to add jobs, with 528,000 total employment gains in January 2026.

Segment Topic:

  • Are high-tax states (Blue States) on a death spiral?
    • Are Blue States deliberately keeping the cost of living artificially high in an effort to muddy the Trump accomplishments leading up to the midterms?
    • States like California and New York are bleeding taxpaying residents for illegals and we saw their reaction at the SOTU that they are not about to change course.

Panelist:

Jeffrey Degner, Economist, American Institute for Economic Research

10:05

Segment Topic:

  • Current state of the U.S economy:
  • Is the Administration on-course to alter history on 2026 midterms?
  • Consumer confidence ticked up in February.
  • Mortgage rates fall below 6% for first time since 2022
    • Average rate on the benchmark 30-year fixed mortgage fell to 5.98%, Freddie Mac says! (Fox Business)
    • Recent data from the Census Bureaureveals that while new home sales dipped slightly by 1.7% in December, the market remains surprisingly resilient, with annual sales outpacing 2024 levels by nearly 4%.
    • "The growth in mortgage demand reflects the gradual erosion of the lock-in effect, which began in early 2022 with the Fed [pivoting] to higher interest rates. Rising inventory in many markets has brought more choices to consumers and slowed home price growth," StreetMatrix real estate analyst Jonathan Miller told Fox News Digital.
    • "While many potential homebuyers are still hoping for mortgage rates to fall sharply," he continued, "there is a growing recognition that they won't return to the rock-bottom levels coming out of the pandemic and that home prices are only getting higher."
    • There are still those homeowners out there who are not going to budge to give up their 3% mortgages!
  • Americans hit with soaring electricity bills as price hikes outpace inflation nationwide!
    • Electricity prices jumped 6.3% from a year ago versus 2.4% headline inflation.
    • How much politics is submerged in these electric rate increases?
  • Trump’s war on credit card lenders: Is it bank bashing or part of the war on affordability?
    • According to Phil Kerpen, the Trump Administration’s decision to launch a reckless war on credit cards would harm Americans.  If both proposals were adopted, “credit would largely disappear, consumer spending would crash, and it could even trigger an economic recession.”

Don’t banks share much of the blame for charging outlandish interest rates to consumers who use plastic and carry balances over from month to month?

Segment Topics:

  • Top Gun High Treason: USAF Elite Fighter Pilot Charged w/ Training CCP Pilots.
  • China selling hypersonic missiles to China.
  • China is fulling backing Iranian regime (Gordon Chang on “X”).
  • China just blocked Nvidia and U.S. chip makers from accessing DeepSeek's new AI model.
    • After years of stealing American tech, China's suddenly drawing lines.
    • DeepSeek built their models by ripping off OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI through "distillation." They also smuggled Nvidia's banned Blackwell chips into China to train their latest model.
      • The audacity is incredible. They are drawing the line with stolen crayons. (Mario Nawfal on “X.”)
    • The Epoch Times reports today that:

6 World Leaders Threatened in China-Linked Campaign Against Shen Yun

  • Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s evacuation from his residence in response to a bomb threat earlier this week was not an isolated incident. He’s one of six world leaders targeted in a China-linked intimidation campaign, The Epoch Times has learned.
  • Since January, bomb and death threats by email have targeted Canadian leader Mark Carney, Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, Italian President Sergio Mattarella, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

The emails are all similar in tone and in the graphic threats they make. All have been written in Chinese. Their message is the same: cancel scheduled shows by Shen Yun Performing Arts or face consequences.

  • More FBI spying on Trump campaign in 2024!
    • Again, we have another example of AG Pam Bondi and FBI Head Kash Patel’s fatal mistake of not cleaning house the first day on the job. (Joe Hoft).
      • DOJ got away with spying on the Trump campaign in 2016 and 2024!

Kaelan, what did the tariff decision by the SCOTUS tell us about the state of the high court today – with justices openly siding with the president and providing advice on how to evade the decision?

Kaelan Deese, Department of Justice Reporter, The Washington Examiner

  • Jeffrey, what did you think about Tuesday night’s State of the Union Address?
  • I clearly remember Reagan being cheered by Democrat Conservatives on his side of the aisle during his SOTU addresses.
    • When Reagan returned following the failed assassination attempt by John Hinckley, he was loudly cheered by both sides of the aisle – as a hero. Can you imagine the Dem-Coms cheering Trump after three failed assassination attempts (three-attempts that we know of)?
  • Senator John Fetterman, Democrat conscience of the Senate!
    • What caused Fetterman’s conversion?
    • The Dem-Coms nationally and in Pennsylvania are already planning his removal in 2028.
  • Rush Limbaugh: Five Years Passed (Jeffrey Lord – MRC)
    • But without question Rush has been missed over the last five years and, for those who were alive in the day when he was on the air, he will continue to be missed.

Panelist:

Jeffrey Lord, Host: Word of the Lord Podcast, Jeffrey is a Contributing Writer for NewsBusters and a contributing editor to the American Spectator – his latest: Are Democrats on the Trump Payroll? The Democrat’s State of the Union clown show.

Edgar A Guest

  • So, when the funds are low and the debts are high, when care is pressing you down a bit – how can you march down a new path to prosperity?
