  • What is the mood inside Israel today in contrast with the return of the hostages?
  • In a recent message you say that Israel must remain on HIGH Alert!
  • This was a hostage release, not a peace deal.
  • It is a joy to see all the living hostages returned, however, Hamas, its Islamist funders and enablers, have no intention of peace.
  • They are using this opportunity to regroup, rebuild, and restock the weapons they’ll soon aim again at innocent Israeli families.
  • While many outside Israel breathe a sigh of relief, we know better. We’ve seen what happens when we let our guard down.
    • What has been the opinion of Hamas public executions?
    • Why have we not heard any of those blaming Israel for mistreatment of the Palestinians – when they now have proof of mistreatment of Hamas.

Segment Topic:

Precious Freedom explores this question in a powerful novel that is drawn from the pages of history. Informed by ten years of research and hundreds of interviews with US Marines, Viet Cong snipers, and Vietnamese fighters, politicians, and leaders, Precious Freedom is storytelling at its finest.

In 1967, nineteen-year-old Chip Zobel enlists in the Marines, answering his government’s call to defend democracy in South Vietnam. But what he finds on the ground shakes his faith: poisoned punji sticks, rotting uniforms, Agent Orange–tainted drinking water, constant ambushes, a brutal case of malaria—and the realization that many of the Viet Cong he’s fighting are actually South Vietnamese locals—the men and women he thought he was fighting to defend.

Back home, Chip’s mother, Betty, initially a staunch supporter of the war, begins to question its morality.

His father, Hank, a former Navy corpsman who fought in the Battle of Saipan during World War II, grows skeptical as he begins to read US military reports that compare Ho Chi Minh to George Washington—a fierce patriot who leads his people to freedom.

Meanwhile, in a quiet Vietnamese hamlet, fifteen-year-old May watches as a US Marine kills her father. She flees to the forest and joins a Viet Cong training camp. Three months later, she makes her first kill as a sniper—eventually, she will kill four more Americans with her rifle. Unbeknownst to her, her path will ultimately cross with that of the Marine who killed her father—Chip Zobel.

James Bradley wrote Precious Freedom to honor all who served in Vietnam and to help a new generation understand the war’s complex truths.

This is a story that America has never been told.

Panelist:

James Bradley, author: Precious Freedom: A Novel

The Vietnam War was a tragedy for America—and for Vietnam. But for the Vietnamese, it was also a victory: they defeated the world’s wealthiest country and most powerful military. James Bradley, the author of Flags of Our Fathers, began to wonder: How did they win?

James Bradley, author of Precious Freedom: A Novel, is the New York Times #1 bestselling author of Flags of Our Fathers, Flyboys, The Imperial Cruise, and The China Mirage. James lived in Vietnam for ten years to research and write his fifth book, Precious Freedom: A Novel of the Vietnam War.

    • In the first assault in Norridge, IL, Miguel Escareno De Loera, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, rammed his vehicle into an ICE law enforcement vehicle twice. He then jumped a curb and crashed his car into a stop sign—ending his violent assault.

    • In the second instance, Widman Osberto Lopez-Funes, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, rammed his vehicle into ICE agents during a targeted enforcement operation, and then exited the vehicle and fled into his residence in Bensenville, IL. Segment Topic:

Democrats vote against reopening government for the 10th time.

  • Are the Dem-Com’s using the shutdown to whittle away at the BBB?
  • Is the shutdown about a power struggle inside the Democrat Party for control?
  • Some (inside the Beltway pundits) have pointed to tomorrow’s “No Kings” rally’s as the red line for opening the government. If the rallies are well attended and forceful, the Dem’s will keep the government closed.  If they are a failure, they will cave.
  • President Donald Trump told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures" that Democrats "made one mistake" with the ongoing government shutdown.
  • "I think they could just stay out forever, I mean, to be honest with you. Now, what we're doing is we're cutting Democrat programs that we didn't want because... I mean, they made one mistake. They didn't realize that that gives me the right to cut programs that Republicans never wanted. You know, giveaways, welfare programs, et cetera. And we're doing that, and we're cutting them permanently," Trump said. (Fox)
