The Timing: The edits, which expanded the list of critiques and added more condemnatory language, were made between October 3 and 10, just ahead of the Medal of Freedom ceremony, America's highest civilian honor.
- The Smears: Editors altered Kirk's introductory paragraph to include heavily loaded and subjective language. The page now accuses Kirk of promoting a "white genocide conspiracy theory" (a change from the already inflammatory "Great Replacement conspiracy theory"), advocating for "Christian nationalism," and spreading "COVID-19 misinformation."
- The Pattern: This behavior follows a documented pattern of Wikipedia adding an accusation of "misinformation" to Kirk's writeup on the day he was killed.

- Parents from Northern Virginia late Wednesday night surpassed the massive $125,000 bond that a judge ordered them to pay in order to stay in court and defend their sons, who were suspended and found responsible for sexual harassment after objecting to a transgender classmate using their male-only locker room.
- The parents, who are suing the Loudoun County Public Schools district, raised over $125,000 ahead of the Friday deadline and even met the original Wednesday deadline before it was granted an extension.
- They were originally ordered by a federal judge last Friday to come up with the funds by the end of the day on Wednesday if they wanted to keep fighting for their sons in court. The $125,000 "bond" was ordered by the judge in the case, Leonie Brinkema, who said the money is meant to ensure that the parents would be able to pay for the school district's attorney fees if they end up losing.

- In the 2025 survey of 68,000 students, only 3.6% of respondents identified as a gender other than male or female.
