- The statement, titled, “A Promise to Our Guests,” was posted to Facebook on Monday morning:
- The restaurant chain, long beloved for its traditional American charm, faced a storm of criticism after unveiling a modernized logo that ditched iconic elements like the barrel and the “Old Country Store” tagline.
- Fans, including President Donald Trump, slammed the change as a “woke” erasure of heritage, leading to a $94 million drop in stock value in just one day.
- The statement, issued on Monday, attempts to convince customers that the core of Cracker Barrel remains unchanged despite the rebrand.
“We’re truly grateful for your heartfelt voices. You’ve also shown us that we could’ve done a better job sharing who we are and who we’ll always be,” Cracker Barrel wrote.
The company asserted that, “The things people love most about our stores aren’t going anywhere: rocking chairs on the porch, a warm fire in the hearth, peg games on the table, unique treasures in our gift shop, and vintage Americana with antiques pulled straight from our warehouse in Lebanon, Tennessee.”
“We know we won’t always get everything right the first time, but we’ll keep testing, learning, and listening to our guests and employees,” the statement said. “At the end of the day, our promise is simple: you’ll always find comfort, community, and country hospitality here at Cracker Barrel.”
Company officials emphasized that beloved features like the rocking chairs, peg games, and vintage decor are here to stay, and the “old timer” figure of founder Uncle Herschel will still grace menus and stores.
While Cracker Barrel claims it’s “listening to our guests and employees,” many on social media have said they view the statement as a half-hearted apology, when what they actually want is a reversal. - Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said in a Sunday interview that he is actively looking into redistricting options in his state, as the partisan effort expands across the country.
- “When I say all options are on the table, all options are on the table,” Moore said in an interview on CBS News’s Face the Nation (The Hill).
- “Governor Wes Moore of Maryland has asked, in a rather nasty and provocative tone, that I ‘walk the streets of Maryland’ with him,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Sunday morning. “I assume he is talking about out of control, crime ridden, Baltimore? As President, I would much prefer that he clean up this Crime disaster before I go there for a ‘walk.'”
- “Wes Moore’s record on Crime is a very bad one, unless he fudges his figures on crime like many of the other ‘Blue States’ are doing,” Trump wrote. “But if Wes Moore needs help, like “Gavin Newscum” did in L.A., I will send in the ‘troops,’ which is being done in nearby DC, and quickly clean up the Crime.”
- The president went on to criticize Baltimore over its crime rate and threatened to rethink federal funding for the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which was severely damaged after a cargo ship crashed into one of its pillars last year. Moore has repeatedly defended his record on crime, noting the city’s homicide rates have hit a historic low under his tenure.

- Astronomers recently discovered a rare interstellar object passing through our solar system, and a Harvard physicist is sounding the alarm that its strange characteristics might indicate it’s more than just a typical comet.
- "Maybe the trajectory was designed," Dr. Avi Loeb, science professor at Harvard University, told Fox News Digital. "If it had an objective to sort of to be on a reconnaissance mission, to either send mini probes to those planetsor monitor them… It seems quite anomalous."
- The object — dubbed 3I/ATLAS — was first detected in early July by an Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System, or ATLAS, telescope located in Chile. The discovery marked only the third time an interstellar objecthas been observed entering our solar system, according to NASA.
- Although NASA hasclassified the object as a comet, Loeb noted that an image of the cosmic visitor indicated an unexpected glow appearing in front of the object, rather than trailing behind it — something he described as "quite surprising."
- The interstellar object, which comes from the center of the Milky Way galaxy, is also expected to pass near to Mars, Venus and Jupiter — something that is also highly improbable to happen at random, according to Loeb. (Fox News)
