- Earlier this month, officials from the US, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey met in Miami to discuss plans for the force — though Israel has said it would not accept Turkey taking part due to its president, Erdogan (ird-oh-wan), cultivating close ties to Hamas throughout his tenure.
- The US and Israel want the ISF to have a “commanding role” in security duties, including disarming Hamas and other militant groups. But countries being courted to contribute troops fear that mandate will make it an “occupation force,” a Western diplomat told the Associated Press.
- Hamas has said it is ready to discuss “freezing or storing” its arsenal of weapons, but insists it has a right to armed resistance as long as Israel occupies Palestinian territory. One US official told AP that a potential plan might be to offer cash incentives in exchange for weapons, echoing a “buy-back” program Witkoff has previously floated.

- A battle over British identity and the nation's flag is just the latest issue to widen the political divide in the United Kingdom in 2025. As the Labour government continues to face growing criticism over a number of issues, from cracking down on free speech to its migration policies, many Britons are concerned about their country's future.
- The issue simmered over the summer amid concerns of a growing rift between the ruling elites and members of the public centered on the nation’s flag. The debate, while ongoing for several years, gained new life since anti-Israel protests erupted after Hamas’ mass terror attack against Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, when Britain saw a proliferation of Palestinian flags across the country.
- Tensions were further heightened over the display of Palestinian flags on public buildings, with critics arguing it represents an abandonment of traditional British values, and that immigrant communities are dictating community values. - The prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was the target of a federal civil rights complaint filed Monday over two student organizations catering to “Graduate Womxn.”
"Graduate womxn" uses the gender-inclusive term "womxn" (pronounced wi-muhn) to refer to cisgender women, transgender women, non-binary individuals, and other gender-diverse people in graduate programs, often in STEM fields like physics, to foster community, support, and equal opportunities, moving beyond traditional definitions of "women." If you are a biological male, a man, you will be discriminated against at MIT.
- The Equal Protection Projectcharged that the university-sponsored student organizations “Graduate Womxn in Physics” and “Graduate Womxn in Biology” flout Title IX, which bars sex-based discrimination in educational opportunities at institutions that receive federal funding.
- “The Womxn Programs discriminate on the basis of sex because eligibility is conditioned on whether an individual is male or female, notwithstanding the use of gender-identity terminology,” read the complaintto the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
- “Under the Programs’ own definitions, biological females are automatically eligible for participation, while biological males are categorically excluded unless they disclaim or redefine their sex.”
- However, a sect that includes the two MIT student organizations has co-opted “womxn” as an “umbrella term” to refer to transgender and nonbinary individuals in addition to biological women.

- Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s office is pushing back against fraud allegations after a viral video showed visits to multiple childcare centers in the state, including one that allegedly received millions of dollars in state funding despite appearing largely inactive.
- Responding to questions about the allegations and the video posted by independent journalist Nick Shirley, a spokesperson for the governor told Fox News that Walz has spent years working to "crack down on fraud" and has taken steps to strengthen oversight of state programs, including initiating investigationsinto several facilities.
- "The governor hasworked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action," the spokesperson said. "He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed." (Fox News)

- A 42-minute video by Shirley, posted Friday on X and YouTube, documenting visits to several daycare centers in the blue state, including a location on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis.

- Our adversaries aren’t confused about their priorities. They are investing in hard power and securing energy supplies while Western governments chased “net zero” targets as if they were a strategy. This new National Security Strategy puts energy, industry, and sovereignty back at the center of defense policy and finally acknowledges that green fantasies are no substitute for steel, fuel, and deterrence.

This is about citizenship. When states lose the ability to define membership and enforce allegiance, violence becomes a predictable outcome, not an aberration.

State collapse destroys vetting capacity. Admitting individuals who cannot be reliably identified is not compassion; it is a national-security failure.
The Somalia–Somaliland contrast shows the core truth: stability follows enforceable sovereignty and defined allegiance, not shared culture or moral appeals.
Moral vision depends on political order. Without clear boundaries and enforcement, rival loyalties and extremist networks fill the vacuum.
A temporary pause on immigration from high-risk regions is a corrective measure to restore vetting, sovereignty, and ordered liberty—not a punitive one.

- Bryna Technologies CEO Bryan Ganz told Fox News Digital his company's weapons, which look like handguns but shoot powerful chemical irritants rather than lethal bullets, were legal in all 50 states. But California, Ganz said, blocked sales of Byrna's ammunition and launchers.
- "It’s easier for a Californian to get a license to carry a lethal weapon than to carry a Byrna with chemical irritant rounds," Ganz said. "So, they’re clearly driving some people to purchase lethal weapons. So, I would say that we probably have the support of both people on the right side and the left side of the 2A debate." (Fox News)

The GOP proposal would steer up to $1,500 a year into tax-advantaged HSAs paired with lower-cost plans in 2026 and 2027, rather than extending the enhanced ACA subsidies set to expire at year-end. Democrats remain committed to a three-year continuation, arguing lapse would trigger major premium spikes for millions of households.
- Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) and other GOP centrists are planning to introduce an amendment in the House Rules Committee on Tuesday that pairs a two-year extension of the subsidies with eligibility reforms, according to a House GOP staffer who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

With Christianity itself beginning to fade as "the reason for the season," Christmas can sound more like let-it-snow winter festival than a celebration of the birth of Christ.
Alas, no one has a crystal ball on something like this. But as it is at this moment, there is a serious media cavalcade out there annually pushing negative stories about Christmas. Not good. Not good at all.

- “The US Postal Service has spent more than $3 billion in tax dollars on a brand-new all-electric fleet of mail trucks — and gotten just 612 vehicles for its money.”
- The rest of the fleet? A mess. More than 6,700 Ford E-Transit vans have been delivered but are sitting idle because they can’t cover rural routes or heavy loads. Oshkosh, the contractor that received the bulk of the money, has struggled so badly that early leak tests resulted in “water pouring out as if the windows had been left open in a storm.” Production has averaged three to four trucks per day. Meanwhile, USPS has quietly purchased over 26,000 internal combustion vehicles just to keep the system functioning.
- Joni Ernst is right to call this a “tremendous waste.” This was never about modernizing the fleet- it was about forcing a political project onto an essential service. And the result is exactly what you get when ideology replaces engineering: billions spent, almost nothing delivered, and taxpayers left holding the bag.
