Federal sources said it’s believed Belgal slipped into the US with a migrant caravan in 2022 without encountering border patrol.

By December 2023, he’d been arrested for the armed robbery a month prior, according to authorities and court records.

Belgal was driving with two people in the backseat along Morris Avenue, when he turned and pointed a gun at them while demanding “give me your jewelry or I will shoot you,” according to the criminal complaint.

The victims handed over jewelry and about $500 cash, and Belgal was later caught — but then released without bail pending trial, records showed. This is whom Mamdani referred to as a New Yorker?

His shooting sparked widespread outrage from lefty New York pols and anti-ICE protesters, who swarmed New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where cops brought Belgal in the aftermath — before he was swept away by the feds in a car. How did this mob assemble and spring into action so quickly?

And now those behind Belgal being here in the first place, what the Commissioner to resign. Why do they want Jessica Tish’s head?

A new book by Samuel Gregg (released today) takes aim at the DSA (among others), and how free market…

Why does the DSA appear to be winning the debate on free market capitalism? Are they feeding off the public’s anger?

In Michigan, (your home state), Abdul El Sayed is a DSA candidate, where free market capitalism built the auto industry. Why would UAW and other union members in Michigan vote for socialism in a place where it has provided so much, for so many?

What is contained within the DSA platform?

Labor Rights: Mandates a 32-hour work week, living wages, and stronger labor unions.

Universal Public Services: Guarantees universal healthcare (Medicare for All), universal housing, universal child care, and tuition-free public college.

They promise “PERMANENT AFFORDABILITY,” how is that possible.

Debt and Taxation: Calls for the cancellation of student debt and higher taxes on the wealthy.

Public Ownership: Advocates for public ownership or control of major industries and essential services.

Climate and Foreign Policy: Pushes for a Green New Deal, an end to U.S. wars and military aid to Israel, and the defunding of the Pentagon.

The DSA says you will have “no debt” and a “publicly funded retirement” after they tear down the “entire global system of capital.” That means you will die as a ward of the state without a penny to your name. When the DSA calls for abolishing the police and prison system — and it really does call for that — the goal would ultimately be to use it as a temporary measure to accelerate the revolution.

Trump Russia hoax, a CIA op? Not the first time the CIA has been accused of an American Coop’.

Has the Russia Hoax done permanent damage to America’s political system? (Jeffrey Lord)

If you stopped ten, ordinary people on the street and asked them if Trump colluded with Russia, I believe at least half would respond; yes!

Jeffrey, I believe that the failure to indict anyone involved in the scandal has done more damage than the actual hoax. Do you agree?

You mentioned the media’s role in the Russia hoax, however, the ABC hit job on Donald Jr. and Eric Trump shows us that they have no intention of mending their ways.

Jeffrey, the Talarico disappearance reminded me immediately of Tom Eagleton – 1972. What do you remember?

I personally felt bad for Eagleton, however; back in 1972, any mention of shock therapy treatments freaked most people out. Today, shock therapy is back in use and it has been found to be a successful treatment.

In Talarico’s case, covering up a mental health breakdown during the campaign, might be as damaging as trying to conceal one from the past; correct?

In Eagleton’s case, he was eventually forced off the ticket and replaced by Sergeant Shriver. What would happen if the rumors turned out to be true – prior to November 3rd?

Jeffrey, do you see a BLUE-WAVE coming on November 3rd? Do you believe that President Trump’s campaigning will show positive results?

From a political standpoint, what was your reaction to the raid on MN Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar’s DC home yesterday?

Republicans have the antidote to disastrous DSA healthcare policies!

With Election Day looming, the DSA is touting Medicare for All which would DESTROY our health care system by rationing care while driving up costs. The White House estimates it would cost 47 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. Medical productivity would fall by 22%. America’s seniors would be left behind, thanks to these radical socialists.

What Republicans need to do on the campaign trail is talk about policies that can deliver real results, and healthcare policy expert Charles Sauer, president of the Market Institute, can speak about a huge one–reducing hospital consolidation.

Currently, Medicare’s reimbursement rates favor hospitals over independent doctors, and that payment difference encourages hospitals to consolidate healthcare markets, driving up prices for American patients.

How do you make reimbursement rates “site-neutral” or equal across care settings, will lower costs for patients?

How do Republicans can prioritize enacting site-neutrality following the midterms, with bills like the Same Care, Lower Cost Act.

11:33·Charles Sauer: President of the Market Institute Charles has a recent op-ed in InsideSources on the damage Medicare for all would do and Republican ideas to counter it.·Market Institute·InsideSources

Iowa city council meeting erupts after former member opens meeting with satanic prayer and 'Hail Satan'

A city council in Iowa erupted after a resident opened a meeting with a satanic prayer Tuesday.

Before the meeting of the Ottumwa City Council began, former council member Matt Dalbey opened with an invocation to the "dark father" to "embrace the Luciferian impulse to eat from the tree of knowledge" before ending with a "Hail Satan" declaration.

After the council recited the Pledge of Allegiance and took roll, New Life Center Pastor Rick Bick interrupted the meeting to demand pushback against Dalbey's invocation.

Let there be no mistake, the Dem-Coms DEI means including prayers to Satan at a local community board meeting. Why did this happen?

The meeting proceeded, but not before Council Member Cara Galloway raised her concerns about recent legislation that had allowed Dalbey to recite the satanic prayer.

She was referring to a January-approved invocation policy which stated prayers or statements from any faith or philosophy would be allowed to open Ottumwa’s city council meetings — which Galloway argued would be a “slippery slope” towards controversy.

“I think we’ve opened ourselves up for others to object or respond to others’ invocations, and we need to remember that we are up here to be neutral,” Galloway said at the meeting’s close.

“I think I specifically referenced that having someone from the church of Satan or a prayer about Satan when we talked about that, that this could happen and we would need to allow it,” she added.

Dem-Com forced DEI policies nationwide were designed to force local governments to allow prayers in Christian America to Satan, to allow men in our daughter’s locker rooms and to radical Islamists to gain power over us.

An 18-year-old Minnesota man who allegedly pledged allegiance to ISIS and discussed carrying out a mass shooting at the Mall of America was arrested after buying an AK-47-style rifle, magazines and ammunition from an undercover FBI employee, according to newly filed federal court documents.

Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud had allegedly spent months discussing his desire to carry out an attack, telling an FBI confidential source in September, "I can’t wait until I kill kuffar man. October 24 is the day insha Allah," according to an affidavit filed in federal court in Minnesota.

When the source later asked why he had chosen Oct. 24, Mohamud allegedly pointed to a "Hmong Arts Celebration" at the Mall of America, saying it would have "a lot of people," the affidavit states.

MRC Reports Broadcast Networks Devote Zero Minutes to Illegal Immigrants Caught Trying to Vote

An MRC study found that elitist media networks ABC, CBS, and NBC spent zero seconds on recent arrests and indictments of non-citizens caught trying to vote.

Monitoring extended across all major morning and evening news programs from September 1 through the morning of October 7.

The broadcast network blackout occurred despite multiple serious criminal cases involving illegal immigrants from nations like Venezuela, Jamaica, and Senegal.

The total omission directly conceals evidence challenging progressive narratives that voter fraud is non-existent.

MRC analysts looked at the broadcast network (ABC, CBS, NBC) evening and morning shows for over a month (September 1 through the morning of October 7) and found not one single mention of illegal immigrants being caught trying to vote.

It should be noted that ABC, CBS, and NBC did cover New Jersey Democratic Governor Mikie Sherrill’s July 21 announcement that a “serious software error” had led to the registration of 6,600 people who were not citizens. However, the last network stories on that came on July 22, and there has been zero coverage since.

MSM is very good at burning stories which would be problematic for the Dem-Coms just prior to an election (Hunter Biden Laptop).

Has this nation learned anything from the Duke Lacrosse Case?

The Prosecutor’s Dilemma:

“That it is better 100 guilty persons should escape, than that one innocent person should suffer.” — Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

The hardest decision a government prosecutor may ever face is also one of the most important tests of the rule of law: What do you do when you believe a crime occurred, and you believe you know who committed it, but you do not believe you can prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty?

The temptation is obvious. A prosecutor is a public official. The alleged victim wants justice. The public demands accountability. The alleged offenders appear unsympathetic. The known facts produce moral outrage. Yet none of those considerations changes the prosecutor's constitutional obligation.

A criminal prosecution is not a referendum on whether something terrible probably happened. It is an attempt to prove, in a courtroom, that a particular defendant committed a particular crime beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty.

The recently renewed investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving seven Cornell University fraternity members illustrates this dilemma. The woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by multiple men at a Chi Phi fraternity house in October 2024. The case initially was not prosecuted, but it has now been reopened and reassigned amid the emergence of additional information and intense public scrutiny.

The publicly reported record demonstrates why prosecutors cannot simply substitute belief for evidence. The woman's accounts developed over time. According to reporting based on investigative records, she initially described some sexual activity as consensual, later described other conduct as coercive and subsequently became unequivocal in saying that she had been raped. She also continued friendly communications with at least one of the men afterward.

Those facts do not, by themselves, establish that no rape occurred. Trauma, intoxication, confusion, delayed realization, embarrassment, victim guilt and fragmented memory can complicate the way sexual-assault victims describe events. Experts have emphasized precisely that point.

But neither should a prosecutor pretend that inconsistencies do not exist. They are evidence that a jury may consider, and prosecutors have an ethical obligation to assess how those inconsistencies may affect the likelihood of obtaining a conviction.

That is the difference between believing a victim and being able to prove a criminal case.

The prosecutor is not the victim's lawyer. The prosecutor represents the government and, ultimately, the public interest in justice. That interest includes punishing the provably guilty and refusing to prosecute people whose guilt the government cannot prove.

This distinction is especially important in emotionally charged sexual-assault cases. There is an understandable social demand that prosecutors believe victims. But the criminal justice system cannot operate on the principle that an accusation is proof. Nor can it operate on the opposite principle — that an initially uncertain victim must necessarily be lying. Both propositions are inconsistent with due process.

The prosecutor's job is to investigate and evaluate.

That means gathering physical evidence. It means interviewing the complainant and the accused, if they consent. It means testing competing accounts rather than simply adopting one. And it means asking the uncomfortable question: If I were defending this case, what reasonable doubt would I be able to present to the jury?

The Cornell matter illustrates why that process must be meticulous. The district attorney has said that the information originally provided to his office differed materially from information subsequently made public, including transcripts containing statements by the woman that she was confident she had been raped.

He also said he had not initially received those full interview transcripts. Whatever one's ultimate conclusion about the case, those circumstances justify a renewed investigation. A prosecutor should never decide that a case is unprovable while important evidence remains unevaluated.

But reopening an investigation with a new prosecutor does not mean that charges must ultimately follow.

Public pressure cannot lower the burden of proof.

Neither can the seriousness of the accusation. Neither can the fact that a university disciplinary proceeding reached a conclusion. A university's determination under its disciplinary rules is not equivalent to a criminal prosecution. The criminal justice system operates under a substantially different standard because the consequences are radically different: Criminal conviction can mean substantial imprisonment, lifelong registration requirements and the stigma of a criminal record.

The prosecutor therefore faces a genuine moral dilemma. If she declines prosecution and the defendants actually committed the crime, justice will have been denied. But if she prosecutes a case she does not believe she can prove and the defendants are acquitted, justice has also been denied.

There is no painless answer.

The answer provided by Anglo-American law is the presumption of innocence and the requirement of proof beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty. Those principles deliberately place the risk of error on the government rather than on the victim or the accused.

It is better, under our constitutional system, for the government to decline a difficult prosecution than for it to obtain a conviction simply because public opinion believes someone must be punished.

The lesson of the Cornell controversy is that justice is not measured by whether prosecutors satisfy public anger. It is measured by whether they faithfully apply the law.

A prosecutor who brings charges because the public demands them, despite believing that guilt cannot be established, is not demonstrating courage. She is abandoning the very safeguard that separates criminal justice from mob rule.

The prosecutor's duty is simultaneous compassion toward an alleged victim and fairness toward an accused person. Those obligations are not mutually exclusive. Indeed, they are the essence of the rule of law.

Believe the allegation enough to investigate it fully. Believe the evidence enough to follow it wherever it leads.

But charge only when the evidence permits the government honestly to conclude it can prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty. Anything less risks turning the criminal courts from instruments of public justice into instruments of public vengeance.

The Enemy Within: Mamdani certainly sounds like he’s in league with the enemy. (Scott Mackay)

Wednesday was October 7, after all, the third anniversary of Hamas’ unbridled atrocities against Israeli civilians, and Hamas’ favorite American mayor (this may not be specifically true, but he’s at least in the top five), Zohran Mamdani, had this to say:

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.

On October 7th, Mamdani could not help himself, he released a statement (again) claiming that Israel is guilty of Genocide inside Gaza.

Is there any doubt anymore? Are we not being given a crystal-clear demonstration that we cannot allow any further encroachment of Islamic culture, religion, and politics into our society?

Islam is a black pill for the West. Make a stand, or swallow that pill. I said it a week ago; I’m going to have to keep saying it.

From 1990 through the early 2000’s, millions of Somali’s were given access to the United States. One couple had a son. He grew into an Islamist, a terrorist. His name is: Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud.

New Documentary Reveals Inside Story of Israel’s Historic Hostage Rescue in Gaza!

Operation Arnon reveals the gripping inside story of a daring, high-stakes IDF rescue mission to free four hostages from Hamas in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp. Through harrowing firsthand accounts, the film explores the extraordinary courage and sacrifice that prove hope can endure, even in the darkest of moments.

On June 8, 2024, Israeli special forces executed a daring daylight raid deep into Hamas-controlled territory in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. In a meticulously planned mission involving precise intelligence, simultaneous assaults on multiple buildings where hostages were held by Hamas in civilian homes, and extraction under intense enemy fire, the IDF successfully rescued four hostages: Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv — all kidnapped during the October 7, 2023, Nova Music Festival massacre.

The operation, originally codenamed “Seeds of Summer,” was renamed Operation Arnon in honor of Chief Inspector Arnon Zmora of the elite Yamam counterterrorism unit, who was fatally wounded while leading the breaching force to free three of the hostages. His sacrifice, alongside the heroism of commanders, intelligence officers, and the rescue teams, underscores the extraordinary risks taken to bring innocents home.

From Palladium Pictures, this powerful documentary features rare firsthand accounts from Israeli commanders and intelligence officials, emotional interviews with Arnon Zmora’s family, and a gripping reconstruction of the planning, execution, and chaotic firefight that ensued as Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters swarmed the area. It also addresses the international controversy and debates surrounding the raid.

The film is the latest release in Palladium Pictures’ new slate of original documentaries and is now premiering on RealClearPolitics.

This is a story of courage, sacrifice, precision, and the human cost of rescuing hostages from a terrorist organization that uses civilians as shields. In an era of ongoing global conflict and hostage crises, Operation Arnon offers viewers an unfiltered look inside one of Israel’s most complex special operations.

They also have not commented on the taxpayer-funded benefits the illegal aliens have received.

They have also joined with Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) to advance sanctuary policies that obstruct law enforcement efforts.
  • ICE has made a concerted effort to keep the public informed about its operations while also releasing detailed information about the criminal history of detained illegal aliens. But there appears to be a media blackout imposed against any coverage of successful law enforcement efforts.

ICE arrested Zokhid Zakhidov, 37, in Woodbridge and Khayrullo Payzullaev, 30, in Hamilton on August 23. Both men are Uzbek citizens. Both men are, moreover, a menace to public safety.

Alito’s absence raises the possibility of a 4-4 split ruling that would leave the legal issues unresolved while allowing the Boulder case to move forward.

11:00 · September inflation report is to be released next Wednesday, the 14th.

  • The September 2026 Consumer Price Index comes out Wednesday, October 14, at 8:30 AM ET. It is the last inflation report before the Federal Reserve meets on October 27 and 28, and it arrives with a specific problem: the Cleveland Fed's nowcast has headline inflation rising to 3.6% while core inflation holds near 2.4%. Energy is pushing the headline up; everything else is behaving.
  • The Cleveland Fed's inflation nowcast, updated October 2, projects September CPI up 0.53% for the month and 3.60% over the year, with core CPI up 0.20% for the month and 2.39% over the year. Early consensus trackers put the headline figure near 3.7%; the official survey estimates firm up in the days before the release.
  • Headline rising from 3.4% to about 3.6%. A monthly gain near 0.5% would be driven by energy, as August's was.
  • Core flat at about 2.4%. A 0.2% monthly core gain, annualized, is roughly 2.4%, which is near the Fed's 2% goal.
  • A report that matches the nowcast tells the Fed that its own measure of underlying inflation is under control while the number households feel is getting worse. Those point in different policy directions, which is why the reaction on the 14th will depend on which figure the market and the Fed choose to weight.
  • Why does this report matter to the Fed?
  • The Fed raised its target range to 3.75% to 4.00% on September 16, its only hike so far this year, and we covered what that hike meant at the time. The question since has been whether a second one follows on October 28.
  • Two reports decide it, and the first has already landed. The September jobs report on October 2 showed 29,000 jobs added and unemployment at 4.2%, and the odds of an October hike on the CME FedWatch tool fell to about 17% from 36% a week earlier, per CNBC. We wrote about why stocks rose on that weak report. CPI on October 14 is the second report.
  • Core at or below 0.2% for the month: confirms the jobs report. A hike in October becomes very unlikely, and the discussion moves to December.
  • Core at 0.3% or higher: reopens the hike debate, because the Fed cannot blame that on gasoline.
  • Headline hot, core cool: the likeliest outcome by the nowcast, and the hardest to trade, because the first headline-driven move can reverse once the core figure is read.
  • Tom, what are you predicting?

11:20 · Free speech no longer exists in the UK and there is plenty of evidence!

  • Retired Police Officer Convicted and Fined Over £1,000 for Sharing Bacon Meme About Child Marriage — Warns ‘Blasphemy Law Is Back.’
  • Britain’s relentless crackdown on so-called “offensive” speech has produced yet another astonishing criminal conviction, this time against a retired police officer who spent nearly three decades serving the public.
  • Stephen Gray, 65, served nearly 30 years with Cleveland Police. He and his wife Alex, 62, have fostered children. None of that mattered once a neighbor he was already feuding with over a sewage pipe tipped off police about two posts Gray had reshared.
  • According to The Telegraph and the Free Speech Union, Gray was interviewed under caution, the Crown Prosecution Service initially decided there was no realistic prospect of conviction, and the neighbor then used the Victims’ Right to Review scheme to force the case back on. The neighbor was not Muslim.
  • One post, “time for mass deportation,” paired with a caption about a supposed “12-year-old Mohammed” who wanted donors to move him from a three-star hotel to a five-star hotel with a better halal menu, free Wi-Fi, Sky, and a location nearer a girls’ school, was treated as politics.
  • The judge said it concerned an issue already debated in Parliament and acquitted Gray.
  • The second post was the one that counted. It showed a rasher of bacon next to a man in a turban, with the caption: “Fun facts about bacon! People who eat bacon have a lower chance of marrying a 9-year-old!”

  • Too many people are caught in a vicious cycle of visiting every doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, and therapist in their area only to find frustrating labels and numbing medications at the end of each path. Rather than eradicating anxiety in the same way vaccines conquered smallpox, the mental health establishment has seen the number of diagnoses and prescriptions skyrocket on its watch.
  • How did we get here? In Lies My Therapist Told Me, Dr. Greg Gifford delivers the definitive Christian critique of secular psychiatry and psychology. With encouragement, humor, and conviction, Gifford:
  • Debunks mental health myths such as “the body keeps the score” and “addiction is a disease.”
    • Offers biblical insights and solutions for struggles like anxiety, narcissism, OCD, and Binge Eating Disorder.
    • Points to Christ and the power of the Gospel as the all-sufficient answer for our fears and frailties.
  • This book brings clarity where secular therapy has created confusion, and offers hope even for those struggling with the hard cases. Through deep research, biblical teaching, and the inspiring stories of real counselees, he shows why we can’t blame the past—or even a diagnosis—for our bad behavior, and why our society’s growing unhappiness is not primarily a medical issue.

  • The letter blamed Trump and U.S. support for Israel for the conflict while accusing the president of misleading Americans about Iran’s nuclear program and the economic consequences of the war.
  • “The US economy is on the precipice of collapse, and yet he keeps on telling Americans that the economy is booming and the prices will soon start coming down,” the letter said.
  • The message comes as Iran faces mounting economic pressure of its own, with the rial falling Tuesday to a record low of more than 2.5 million to the U.S. dollar.
  • One thing is certain, this letter from the death-cult IRGC will drive Dem-Com and DSA voters to the polls. Why? Because they blame the despised United States and the hated Israel!

  • Reported guidance directing some ICE offices to pull back on arrests of illegal immigrants without criminal histories triggered backlash from policy hawks, raising questions whether the Trump administration is sending conflicting signals on enforcement.
  • The guidance was rescinded within hours, and Trump told Fox News there had been no change in an enforcement posture that prioritizes — but is not limited to — the "worst first." The verbal guidance had been relayed to ICE field offices around the country, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter, though it remains unclear who initially issued the instruction.

11:30 · The Plot to Change America exposes the myths that help identity politics perpetuate…

  • The Plot to Change America exposes the myths that help identity politics perpetuate itself. This book will reveal what really has happened, explain why it is urgent to change course, and offer a strategy to do so.
  • Though we should not fool ourselves into thinking it will be easy to eliminate identity politics, we should not overthink it, either. Identity politics relies on the creation of groups, and then on giving people incentives to adhere to them. If we eliminate group-making and the enticements, we can get rid of identity politics.
  • The first myth that this book will expose is that identity politics is a grassroots movement, when from the beginning it has been, and continues to be, an elite project.
  • For too long, we have lived with the fairytale that America has organically grown into a nation gripped by victimhood and identarian division; that it is all the result of legitimate demands by minorities for recognition or restitutions for past wrongs.
  • The second myth is that identity politics is a response to the demographic change this country has undergone since immigration laws were radically changed in 1965. Another myth that we are told is that to fight these changes is as depraved as it is futile, since by 2040, America will be a minority-majority country anyway. This book will help to explain that none of these things are true.
  • Mike, you are a former journalist, what culpability does the media have in the plot to change America?
  • The media has been the fermenter of identity politics, hasn’t it?

  • After all, oil prices have repeatedly breached $100 a barrel, driving gas prices above $4 a gallon. The U.S. government’s borrowing costs are rising, pushing mortgage rates above 7%. Consumers are gloomy, and polling on President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy is abysmal.
  • And yet, the economy is powering forward, driven by an AI investment boom, and everyday people who are still spending despite the strain of higher prices. A survey last week by S&P Global showed that U.S. business activity accelerated at the fastest pace in more than five years, boosting employment and manufacturing output. That suggests GDP might have grown at a rapid pace of about 4% over the past three months.

11:00 · New York, your getting what you deserve!

  • From the NY Post Editorial Board (today):
  • Bringing his socialist economic chops to fix New York City’s stagnant-to-sluggish jobs growth, Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s new solution is to hire more government employees.
  • His always-busy press office and Maoist “mass engagement” cadres announced Monday a new Jobs NYC Center, a “hub connecting New Yorkers to careers in public service.”
  • Citywide unemployment as of August was 4.8%, about a fifth higher than the national average of 4.1%.
  • Mamdani’s hate-the-rich, capitalism bad rhetoric hasn’t helped: Finance — which provides the tax revenue to fuel Gotham’s lavish social spending — has been reducing jobs in the city for long decades; these days job growth in financial services comes almost exclusively in lower-tax, business-friendly cities and states.
  • In the last year, the city added a measly 27,600 jobs to its private-sector workforce of 4.2 million — nearly all of them home-health aide work, which is mostly funded by Medicaid.
  • Are businesses now staying away from growing in New York City?
  • Seth Barron’s WEAPONIZED proves exactly how the Left is waging war on the American people by attacking specific institutions of the American way of life, essentially sucking all power up the chain, away from the people and into the hands of a managerial, administrative class that has its own vision for the future of the country.
  • This elite class wants control over everything. It is intolerable for them that any corner of American life is being run contrary in any way to the totalizing, even totalitarian, vision they have of our society.
  • The elites loathe the idea that the U.S. Constitution rests power in the hands of the people, and that states and localities are reserved certain key rights. Our historical system enshrines self-rule—the principle that communities comprised of self-regulating subjects can govern themselves best—while the Left believes that the people who don’t live somewhere are the best equipped to set the rules there.

11:30 · Finding Common Ground in a Fiercely Divided Nation

  • In a nation increasingly divided by politics, culture and competing visions of the future, author and educator Carl Nordgren believes Americans may have overlooked one powerful source of common ground: their shared creative potential.
  • After two decades as an entrepreneur and 25 years as an educator helping students, entrepreneurs, educators, scientists and leaders develop their creative capacities, Nordgren inadvertently found a source of common ground that transcends political, social and economic differences.
  • “That common ground is our natural-born creative genius that 98% of us share, as revealed in a research project using NASA’s creativity assessment tool and their grading scale,” Nordgren said.
  • His new book, Common Ground for US: Warning! This Book Makes Folks Optimistic, explores what that shared creative capacity could mean for a future that cannot be predicted with certainty. Drawing on decades of experience in entrepreneurship and education, Nordgren offers practical perspectives on preparing for an unknowable future, fostering sustainable abundance and encouraging in what he describes as a grassroots renaissance built on the creative abilities people already possess.
  • Among Nordgren’s insights are strategies that serve political leadership on both sides of the aisle. Calling typical political language “weaponized” and “useless,” he offers new language and behaviors to refresh governance, and introduces his concept of Common Wealth — an efficient way to leverage resources for the benefit of all citizens — and urges political and community leaders to put his ideas into action.
  • The result is a collection of concepts aimed at readers who are concerned about the direction of the country but are unwilling to surrender to pessimism.
  • “Not only does common ground exist, but the nature of it is us at our very best,” Nordgren said. “We live and work together through creative expressions of our core human qualities.”

10:30 · In the new book WAKE UP AMERICA: The Rise of Socialism is the Death of Freedom by…

  • In the new book WAKE UP AMERICA: The Rise of Socialism is the Death of Freedom by Former Congressman Ken Buck, we find a shocking and scathing exposé of corruption and morally bankrupt ideas. Buck reminds us of the Founders' vision for a limited federal government, "of the people and for the people," designed to protect personal liberty by adhering to federalism and separation of powers – and how progressives have methodically chipped away at these bedrock principles to consolidate power in a government detached from those it is supposed to serve.
  • For over a century, the Left has used the federal government to fund and promote its socialist agenda. Under the guise of flowery titles like the New Deal or Great Society, Democrat administrations have spent money America doesn't have on programs America doesn't need. Each of these leftist causes are sold to the public as temporary solutions to existential threats. But their actual purpose is to vest more control in the federal government and advance the left's partisan objectives at the expense of individual liberty.
  • Ideologies that attempt to supplant private decision-making with centralized state control cannot persist in a free society without pervasive deception and state-sanctioned violence. Buck argues we are closer to the tipping point than most Americans realize. This book is about recognizing warning signs while there is still time. It is about understanding how we arrived at a system that cannot seem to stop spending. And it is about what must change if we want to preserve a country where government exists to serve the people.
  • The threat to America has never been greater. The United States is on the precipice of defaulting on its national debt, losing the dollar bankruptcy of Social Security and Medicare, and becoming isolated from once-close trading partners. While the left cheers America's demise so it can further suppress liberty, the world order will fall into a nuclear armed chaos. The time to act is now, and this book will arm every citizen with the knowledge and strategy to make a difference.
  • Congressman, how do you see the President’s messaging to the nation?

Congressman Buck’s plan:

  • Make D.O.G.E permanent; publish what they uncovered and what they cut.
  • Take steps to stop spending more than we take in, while acknowledging that we probably can't do it for decades.
  • Eliminate all earmarks and pet-project spending.
  • Produce serious committee oversight plans that are focused on real problems.
  • Close the Department of Education.
  • Find more agencies that need to be defunded, returning the United States to rule by "democracy" instead of "bureaucracy."

Guest: Ken Buck is a former five-term Congressman from Colorado, lawyer, and author of four books, including Crushed: Big Tech's War on Free Speech. Congressman Buck served on the House Judiciary Committee and was the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial and Administrative Law, and was a member of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship. • The parallels are difficult to ignore. Both movements captured younger voters by blaming capitalism for unaffordable housing and promising sweeping government action. In Berlin, nearly half of voters under 30 supported Die Linke, while its campaign drew strategic inspiration from the American socialist movement.
