President Trump continues to champion the positive aspects of tariffs on the Midterm, campaign trail. Voters do not see any benefits. Do you agree?

The Surprising Staying Power of Trump’s Tariffs

Americans are unhappy with rising prices and see tariffs as part of the problem. But that doesn’t mean they agree on what to do about them.

Although Americans may loathe the personal costs of tariffs, their views on what to do about them are mixed. Fewer than 30 percent of those surveyed wanted all tariffs to be removed, while 20–24 percent (depending on the trading partner) wanted to limit tariffs to national security issues. Meanwhile, around 30 percent of Americans supported keeping all of Trump’s tariffs on specific partners or using them as leverage to negotiate additional trade concessions with various trading partners.

Mike Waltz reveals Cuban diplomat shoved US staffer, slapped phone away in explosive UN clash!

UN ambassador recalled confrontation on General Assembly floor, where Cuba's foreign minister rushed the podium!

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz recalled on "The Sunday Briefing" how a heated confrontation with Cuban officials nearly turned physical, alleging that one diplomat shoved a member of his staff and slapped a phone out of his hand before being expelled from the United States.

"I really thought it was about to go down," Waltz said, attributing the decision to "boot the guy" back to Cuba to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"The guy that we actually put on a one-way flight back to his crumbling country shoved one of my staff, slapped the phone out of his hand, was trying to bully the U.N. staff into cutting my microphone. Then, their foreign minister gets up out of his chair and rushes the podium."

Cuba on Friday welcomed home a diplomat expelled by the United States after an unusually heated confrontation between the two countries’ representatives at the United Nations this week.

Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver posted a photo of Richard Tur de la Concepción, first secretary of Cuba’s U.N. mission, alongside Foreign Ministry officials holding a Cuban flag at Havana’s airport. It was Cuba’s first public response since the U.S. State Department announced it would take action against Tur after he tried to knock a phone out of a U.S. diplomat’s hand.

“We welcomed the young diplomat home,” Peñalver wrote on X, saying Tur had “firmly and with dignity confronted the disrespectful and provocative behavior” of the U.S. delegation.
