Six States Take Up Citizen-Only Voting Next Week!
Voters in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, South Dakota, and West Virginia will decide whether to strengthen citizenship requirements for voting in their states.
Paul Jacob, chairman of Americans for Citizen Voting, has been at the forefront of this effort, helping advance citizen-only voting constitutional amendments in 15 states since 2018.
In his new Washington Times op-ed: Let Americans decide the matter of citizen-only voting, Paul makes the case for letting Americans decide who gets to vote in their elections.
While federal law already prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections, some jurisdictions, including Washington, D.C., and municipalities in Maryland, Vermont, and California, allow noncitizens to vote in certain local elections. Supporters of these ballot measures want to prevent similar policies from taking hold elsewhere.
The six states voting November 3 and what their ballot measures would change.
The growing movement: 15 states have adopted citizen-only voting amendments since 2018.
The national debate: Why some localities allow noncitizen voting and why supporters want explicit statewide prohibitions.
The federal push: Efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution to address citizenship requirements for federal elections.
Why did the Save American Act fail?
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday that investigators have identified more than 400 noncitizens illegally registered to vote in Washington state, some of whom have cast ballots in multiple elections dating back decades.
Immigration officials told Fox News Digital Tuesday that dozens of noncitizens have also been arrested nationwide in a major voter fraud crackdown.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Floyd said investigators identified hundreds of noncitizen voters by reviewing US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records, which showed that some people who applied for certain benefits had also voted.
While some individuals voted only once or three times in past elections, Floyd said others voted as many as 27 times. In total, his office counted approximately 1,500 instances of noncitizens casting ballots.
What do you think is going to happen with the California illegal voting battle? Will it be resolved prior to next Tuesday, and if not; will a post-election legal battle ensue?
If tariffs make America stronger, why are we racing to get exemptions?
Dr. Gregg’s new book, The Civilization of Commerce: Invisible Hands and the Pursuit of Happiness, makes the case that commercial society is not merely a means of generating wealth but a remarkable civilizational achievement. (Pompeii – a time capsule of vibrant economic activity in 79AD )
Tariffs were sold as a way to protect American workers. Now Republican candidates are asking Washington to protect their constituents from the tariffs.
October 26 reporting from the Associated Press puts that tension at the center of the final stretch before the midterms. The White House says a trade agreement with Canada is close, while Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says progress reflects Washington moving toward Canada’s demands.
Meanwhile, Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers is calling for an end to the tariff war, and Senator Susan Collins has secured exemptions for Canadian products used by Maine businesses.
Those exemptions reveal the practical stakes. In her October 23 announcement, Collins explained that farmers depend on Canadian equipment and packaging that American suppliers either do not provide or cannot replace without significant expense. The relief covers nine product categories, including refrigeration equipment, agricultural machinery, and shipping containers.
That raises a question every American business owner should be asking: Must you win an exemption in Washington to compete at home?
In his recent essay, “A Trade Policy for a Post-Trump World,” Gregg argues that protectionism has become entrenched across both parties. He also outlines ways to expand trade with partners while strengthening America’s strategic position against China.
His new book, The Civilization of Commerce, gives this breaking debate a larger frame: how markets create opportunity, why economic freedom matters beyond material wealth, and what is at stake when political direction displaces competition.
If removing tariffs helps American farmers and manufacturers, what does that tell us about the costs those businesses were carrying?
Who actually pays? How tariff costs move through importers, suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and households—and why the burden varies across industries.
Can Washington protect one American industry without hurting another? Why a tariff intended to support domestic production can also raise costs for American companies buying materials and equipment.
Does success depend on access to Washington? Whether an economy built around exemptions and special treatment rewards political influence over productivity.

A deal headline versus lasting certainty: What businesses need to see before committing to factories, hiring, and long-term investment.
The American Dream beyond election promises: How competition, entrepreneurship, and economic freedom can give people greater opportunity to build a better life.
Are tariffs making it easier for Americans to build and compete—or making them ask Washington for permission to succeed?

US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz got into a shouting match Tuesday with Cuba’s foreign minister on the floor of the UN’s General Assembly hall while detailing the communist regime’s ill-gotten wealth.
Waltz called out the Havana government for profiting off of the forced labor of its own citizens sent to concentration camps while using confiscated “businesses, farms, factories, homes and the savings of generations of hardworking Cubans” to line the pockets of its leaders.
As Waltz spoke, Cuba’s delegation banged on the table near their seats to express disapproval before Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla charged toward the rostrum and accused Waltz of lying, causing the US envoy to shout: “Back up!”
Christine, what did this exchange, yesterday, at the UN tell us about the Cuba situation?
