      • Was Carter an Anti-Semite?
      • Was Carter’s reluctance to bomb Iran in 1979 lead to the mess we have today?
        • Jonathan Feldstein latest opinion piece on Jimmy Carter:

Jimmy Carter Making Terror Great Again:

Ok Jimmy Carter died. Many will fill volumes writing now that he was a good guy, honest, smart, did some good things as president, and in his post presidency. Despite many of these things being true, to me Carter was an unrepentant anti-Semite who made excuses for Arab aggression and terror against Israel, and empowered the terrorists whose goal to annihilate Israel and the Jewish people are no less part of Carter’s legacy. For that alone and using the pulpit of his presidency in exile to spread these messages, I say good riddance.

As a failed one term president despite some achievements including helping to broker the Camp David peace agreement with Israel and Egypt, Carter’s abysmal policies vis a vis Iran left the US ally Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi overthrown by Islamists, himself dying in exile, paving the way for the Islamic Republic regime  to take over Iran which it has hijacked for the past 46 years. The Iranian hostage crisis was an example of Carters weakness and underscored by the fact that the hostages were released the day Carter was out of office.

His ineptitude was on full display then and paved the way for the Iranian Islamic regime to become the world’s largest state sponsor of l terror. These are not mere words. Millions of Israelis and Iranians as well as Jews and others are still suffering as a result.

Even Carter suffered. Since 1981 he mourned the murder of his friend Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, gunned down by Iranian inspired Islamic terrorists. Nevertheless, rather than blaming the ayatollahs, Carter missed no opportunity to blame Israel for something.

Carter’s antisemitism was not only unrepentant but arrogant as if only he knew the truth, but his truth was a cocktail of distortions and fantasy, looking at the Middle East through a prism about how he thought things should be rather than how they were.

His book “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid” remains part of Carter’s antisemitic legacy. He deliberately retained and justified his own legitimization of terrorism against Israel despite being called out as such, offering no apology, no correction, no recall: just a playbook about why killing Jews was OK.

Carter wrote, “It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the ‘Roadmap’ for peace are accepted by Israel.”

Basically: as long as Israel doesn’t do what Carter thinks it should do, terrorism against Israel will continue and is legitimate.

As for propping up the terrorists, Carter not only was among the first to give credibility to Arafat and the PLO, but also Hamas. One has to wonder if, like the terrorists, Carter thought the Hamas massacre of October 7, 2023, was indeed legitimate “resistance,” or if he ever reconsidered his flawed views. We’ll never know, but what we do know is that he never said the later. So, all we have to go by is his justifying and legitimization of terror.

Carter doubled down on his anti-Israel rhetoric and hate as a leading member of “The Elders,” a group of failed world leaders who colluded in multiple ways to continue his anti-Israel diatribe. The Elders were so antisemitic that one could even ask if they were the authors of “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” or just devoted followers.

In 2009, Carter visited my neighborhood, Gush Etzion, where he surprised many my stating that in an eventual two state solution (creating a Palestinian Arab state in Judea and Samaria- the “West Bank” and Gaza), he did not envision that Israel would have to return places like this. “I never imagined that Gush Etzion would be transferred to Palestinian hands.”

Maybe he misspoke or was just making friendly chit chat, but the praise he received then for looking at the reality and not stringent black and white policies in which Israel was always to blame was short lived and not repeated. He must have realized that legitimizing Israeli “settlements” in any way complicated his notion that it was still OK for Palestinian Arab terrorists to kill us.

Carter repeatedly blamed he Jews both for voting for Ted Kennedy in his unprecedented primary campaign against a sitting president, and then losing to Ronald Reagan. To him the Jews were disloyal if not all powerful (i.e. Protocols). Unencumbered after living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Carter simply allowed his antisemitic tendencies to take prime time in his Emory University Carter Center.

It never escaped me on my visits to the Carter Center that many of the top donors were anti-Israel Arab leaders, raising the question as to whether Carter’s views were formed by his benefactors, or if the benefactors raced to lay the foundation for a place in which their views were at home with Carter.

As a student at Emory in the 1980s, where his failed presidency found refuge, I had several interactions with Carter, mostly lecturing in different classes. Yes, he was charming, and his soft-spoken demeanor lent one to think he was a good guy.

One day in 1988, I attended an event where he made public remarks following another trip throughout the Middle East where he had no problem cozying up to the original Assad dictatorship and other terror leaders. His public comments throughout the trip were a dizzying litany of anti-Israel comments, throughout the Arab capitals where he was feted, and when he was in Israel. Basically, he blamed Israel for everything wrong and the lack of peace in the Middle East.

During the question and answer, there was time for one question and my hand shot up.  It was the week of the anniversary of the Camp David accords, and I thanked him for helping to make that possible to which he responded with his big peanut smile. Then I asked him if, as a representative of Emory University, was it not academically disingenuous to travel the world and blame Israel for lack of peace while not holding the Arabs at least equally accountable.

His peanut smile turned to a scowl, and he began a tirade about how I was wrong, and Israel is to blame. I never had a former president get angry at me and “rip me a new one.”

It felt good not because I upset him, but because I called him out in public for his dishonesty and he had no good answer other than perpetuating his biased rate which was on full display.

Carter had been in hospice care for a very long time and his death was inevitable. From my perspective, long overdue. I ask myself why God gives people like this who have such evil in their hearts so many extra years. My only explanation, or rationalization, is maybe God was giving him a chance to repent, and Jimmy Carter needed that many more years to do so.

I’m not convinced that he did repent, and while it would be inappropriate to throw the baby out with the bathwater and suggest that he never did anything good, which would be dishonest, he was a failed one term president, and he did unambiguously call for and justify the terrorist murder of my people. That disqualifies him from sainthood or many of the other honors and memories that others are sharing and will share in the days to come.

At least in remembering his life, let us remember that he at least indirectly caused tremendous pain and suffering, and death for which building houses for poor people is no redeeming compensation.

Jonathan is a respected author; he has worked tirelessly to bridge to gap between Jews and Christians and he is the President of the Genesis 123 Foundation.

Segment Topic:

The last, best hope to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is: One Jewish State!

  • The United States has a “biblical” duty to support Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank, former US President Donald Trump’s ambassador to Israel argues in a new book, unveiling a plan for “one Jewish state” that he said he would share with Trump. (Middle East Eye)
  • “President Trump has often said that he was indifferent to one state or two states – whatever the parties might agree to,” former US ambassador David Friedman writes in the book, One Jewish State: The Last, Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

https://www.amazon.com/One-Jewish-State-Israeli-Palestinian-Conflict/dp/1630062944

  • One of the leading architects of the historic Abraham Accords, David Friedman explains why in these turbulent and dangerous times, the simple phrase of three words – ONE JEWISH STATE – must be the guideline for Israel and the world’s collective future.
  • Each word of ONE JEWISH STATE is deeply instilled with meaning:
    • ONE: There is only ONE country earmarked for the Jewish people; ONE. There are 49 Muslim countries, and many Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu countries, but only ONE Jewish State.
    • JEWISH: This Jewish State is exactly that – JEWISH. It is the place where Jewish history was born, where Jewish values were created and where more Jews live than anywhere else. It is situated on the land given to the Jewish people by God in the words of the Holy Bible.
    • STATE: Israel is not just a place; it is a country with sovereignty over its land and responsibility for its inhabitants. Today that sovereignty has been called into question by the nations of the world and even by some within Israel. But Israel cannot be Jewish without sovereignty over the places that make it Jewish.
  • Panelist, Ambassador David Friedman proposes a goal and a path, with God’s help, for Israel to have complete sovereignty over all its biblical homeland – in a just manner that brings peace, prosperity, and essential human dignity to ALL of Israel’s inhabitants. In ONE JEWISH STATE he will explore:

Panelist:

Ambassador David Friedman, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel (Trump).

Ambassador Friedman is the bestselling author of Sledgehammer: How Breaking with the Past Brought Peace to the Middle East, and the executive producer and co-star, with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, of Route 60: The Biblical Highway, a film about Judea and Samaria. In 2021, he launched the Friedman Center for Peace through Strength which has recently launched a project that bears the name of this book: One Jewish State.

He lives with his wife, Tammy, in Jerusalem and Florida, and is a proud father and grandfather.

Segment Topic:

The Eastman Dilemma: Lawfare or Justice’ a new documentary examines the war against Conservatives.

  • Can a justice system that punishes individuals more harshly based on their beliefs truly be considered just, or has it devolved into a tool for ideological enforcement rather than a guardian of equal rights?
  • “The Eastman Dilemma: Lawfare or Justice” addresses a critical pain point: the growing reality that attorneys who represent conservative clients are being unfairly targeted and “canceled” by a legal system as it grows increasingly politically biased. There is growing evidence that a two-tiered justice system has emerged, where conservative figures face severe penalties for actions that receive leniency if committed by non-conservatives.
    • This injustice not only threatens the integrity of the legal profession but also undermines public confidence in the impartiality of the courts, creating a chilling effect on legal advocacy and free speech. The film aims to expose and challenge these disparities, advocating for equal treatment under the law regardless of political affiliation.

https://eastmandilemma.com/

John Eastman discusses how conservatives have been victimized by lawfare. He is available for an interview at your convenience.

Panelist:

Dr. John Eastman is the former Henry Salvatori Professor of Law & Community Service and former Dean at Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where he had been a member of the faculty since 1999, specializing in Constitutional Law, Legal History, and Property.

He is a founding director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public interest law firm affiliated with the Claremont Institute that he founded in 1999. He has a Ph.D. in Government from the Claremont Graduate School and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and a B.A. in Politics and Economics from the University of Dallas.

Prior to joining the Chapman law faculty, Dr. Eastman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of the United States, and to the Honorable J. Michael Luttig, Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and practiced law with the national law firm of Kirkland & Ellis.

10:35 AM ET

Segment Topic:

  • How far should Republicans go with investigations of Democrats for their participation in Russia-Gate and January 6, 2021?
  • What if Joe Biden pardons his entire party before leaving office? Should that end investigations to get to the truth?
    • Even if Joe Biden pardons his whole administration, Americans deserve the truth. The pardoning of Hunter Biden throws open the possibility of many more to come during this presidency’s last five weeks. Even if key people are exonerated before the fact, Republicans shouldn’t be dissuaded from investigating. Far more important than punishing the guilty is that the truth be told and that, if wrongs have been committed, they should never happen again. (J.T. Young, author of Unprecedented Assault: How Big Government Unleashed America’s Socialist Left.)

https://www.amazon.com/Unprecedented-Assault-Government-Unleashed-Socialist/dp/B0DBMH66YR/ref=sr_1_1?crid=V7IKM4HEIQW7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ys0LWKYFeBlOaWjOQuig0__KCnup4GwROKlnaFFClC3Eo1wofwsBNZYOH-n2akCLTao2M1oGqmJR1jsfIMlsiA.yB03wQpLjwXOW4EqxPVvIM1CB1WkNViHo1qACnortmg&dib_tag=se&keywords=unprecedented%20assault&qid=1728663963&s=books&sprefix=unprecendented%20assault%2Cstripbooks%2C112&sr=1-1&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Following Nixon’s resignation in August of 1974, the investigations into the Watergate scandal continued and had a negative impact on Republicans in 1976.

We Won the Election but We Haven’t Defeated the Enemy; so, says Trevor Loudon, spokesman for the film, Beneath Sheep’s Clothing.

https://beneathsheepsclothing.movie/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Trevor Loudon’s thesis: Commonly regarded as mainstream political policy is in fact driven and guided by hidden subversive elements. The Democratic Party’s consistent defunding of the US military, support of open borders, sexualization of children, the climate change agenda, pipeline shutdowns and many other anti-American policies are all consistent with communist goals. Trevor Loudon believes that these forces must be exposed and countered, as America’s continued role as a bastion of freedom is pivotal for the future of western civilization.

Panelist:

J.T. Young, author of Unprecedented Assault: How Big Government Unleashed America’s Socialist Left, is a Former Congressional Political Analyst and Policy Advisor.

Young has worked for over three decades in and around DC politics, immersed in economic advising and policy legislation from Capitol Hill. Alongside degrees from the University of Chicago (B.A.) and Cornell University (M.A., Ph.D.), Young’s writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal,

Washington Times, Washington Examiner, The Hill, American Spectator, The Federalist, Washington Post, New York Post, Barron’s, Forbes, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and elsewhere.

Trevor Loudon is an author, filmmaker and public speaker from Christchurch, New Zealand. For more than 30 years, he has researched radical left, Marxist and terrorist movements and their covert influence on mainstream politics.

11:10 AM ET

Segment Topic:

  • Was the attempt by the Uni-Party an early test of President Trump’s mandate from the American people and his control over HIS Republican Party?
  • Should we believe that John Fetterman is now the conscience of the United States Senate? Should we believe his new hand of bi-partisanship?
  • Biden’s pardon of the Kids for Cash” judge was disgusting. Almost as disgusting as Bill Clinton selling a pardon to Marc Rich – who was living in exile.

Panelist:

Jeffrey Lord, Former advisor to President Ronald Reagan, Associate Editor of the American Spectator, frequent contributor for Newsmax and host of the Word of the Lord Podcast and a very good friend to this radio program.

Segment Topic:

Holidays and Alzheimer’s: Tips to Help Families Navigate for a Joyous Season!

  • Holiday celebrations are often joyous occasions that families look forward to all year, but they can be challenging for the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
    • Nearly 7 million Americans have Alzheimer’s. An estimated 6.9 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s in 2024. Seventy-three percent are age 75 or older.
    • Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 22,300 people in Delaware and more than 31,000 family and friends serving as caregivers.
    • Would you recognize the signs of a family member showing signs of Alzheimer’s/dementia at your holiday gatherings this year?

Panelist:

Linda M. Barba | Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications + Regional Research Champion: Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter
