- With a social-media post that said “STOP LYIN” about there being an affordability crisis, President Trump claims he’s whipped inflation.
- Republicans say “prices” Dem-Com’s say “Costs.”
  - But consumers are still feeling the squeeze.
  - Target’s prices are up 5.5% nationwide this year and Walmart’s are up 5.3%, according to an analysis by DataWeave, which looked at roughly 16,000 items across each retailer’s website.
  - Amazon’s price hikes have averaged more than 12%, according to a report.
  - After seven months under Trump’s tariffs, Americans are paying more for nearly everything — from a cup of joe and plush living room sofas to children’s toys.
  - But certain groceries, particularly meat, are still up for various reasons. Bananas are up 8.6%, mostly because of tariffs, as almost none are produced domestically. Chicken and eggs have fluctuated because of bird flu.
  - Beef is up across the board — up more than 19% for steak, and 14% for ground beef. Ranchers blame smaller herds because of drought. They are also helped by tariffs on foreign beef, and Trump says he’s considering consumer relief by boosting Argentinian imports.
  - “Putting Joe Biden’s inflation crisis firmly behind us has been a Day One priority for President Trump,” White House spokesman Kush Desai told The Post in a Thursday statement.
  - “Americans are paying less for essentials like gas and eggs, and today the Administration inked yet another drug pricing deal to deliver unprecedented healthcare savings for everyday Americans.”

- Arctic Frost was not an investigation. It was an atrocity disguised as law. It was the deliberate choice of powerful men and women to weaponize the instruments of justice against political opponents. It was the perversion of law enforcement into a machinery of fear. Those who conceived it, approved it, and carried it out are not public servants. They are perpetrators. The Americans who suffered under its grip are victims, and they deserve justice, compassion, and national repentance. (Roger Stone)
- Arctic Frost was not law enforcement. Arctic Frost was political persecution. The United States Department of Justice under the Biden administration and its obedient enforcers within the Federal Bureau of Investigation transformed investigative power into political warfare. They spied on eight Republican senators including Lindsey Graham, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, Cynthia Lummis, and Marsha Blackburn under the false pretense of national security. According to the Senate Judiciary Committee, the government admits it accessed their tolling data, who they called, when they called, and for how long. It was a monstrous violation of privacy and a direct assault on the separation of powers. No warrants justified it, no legitimate predicate supported it, and no moral conscience could defend it. It was tyranny in its rawest form, the same kind of state sponsored repression that history will forever associate with totalitarian regimes.
- Newly released FBI records have exposed the staggering scope of this political dragnet. One hundred ninety-seven subpoenas were issued in the Arctic Frost operation, targeting more than four hundred thirty individuals and organizations, including approximately one hundred sixty Republicans, of whom forty five were close allies of Donald J. Trump and about one hundred eleven were alternate electors, campaign staff, and state legislators. Among the entities swept up were Turning Point USA led by Charlie Kirk, the Republican National Committee, and the Republican Attorneys General Association. Investigators even sought phone records from Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and senior aides. These subpoenas primarily sought call metadata, not content, for the critical period from January four through January seven, two thousand twenty-one, surrounding the events of January six. The information was drawn from FBI files released by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa in October two thousand twenty five, corroborated by whistleblower disclosures and internal DOJ documents as detailed in Grassley’s oversight release.
- Nearly one hundred Republican linked groups and private individuals were also targeted in the same operation. Activists, nonprofit directors, faith-based leaders, and private citizens were swept into an Orwellian dragnet simply because of their associations and beliefs. The data collected on them was stored, indexed, and shared internally within the Justice Department. Their names were marked as subjects of interest in a campaign designed to freeze opposition to the ruling party. This was not oversight. This was oppression.

Among the high-profile individuals targeted in this campaign of intimidation and lawfare were Michael T. Flynn, Jeff Clark, Peter Navarro, Rudy Giuliani, and Leah Hoopes. These patriots stood with President Trump’s cause when many recoiled. They carried the torch of resistance when others cowered. So, the regime came for them. The regime also came for the organizations aligned with Trump’s campaign and political movement, as well as trusted media outlets including CBS News, Fox News, and Newsmax. None of these entities were safe. None of their advocates spared. The message was clear that dissent will be crushed.

Gun boat diplomacy continues.
- This comes as Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced the U.S. military on Wednesday struck another boat carrying people he said were narco-terrorists. The strikes were carried out in the Eastern Pacific region at the direction of President Donald Trump, killing four men on board.
  - That was the 14th strike on suspected drug boats carried out since September. A total of 61 have reportedly been killed while three survived, including at least two who were later repatriated to their home countries.

When the money runs out, could we see mass looting of grocery stores in urban areas?

President Donald Trump on Thursday urged Republicans to end the filibuster in order to end the monthlong government shutdown.

In a late-night Truth Social post, Trump noted that Democrats had tried to eliminate the Senate procedure when they had control of both chambers of Congress and the White House during the Biden administration, but then-Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema — both of whom have since left the Democratic Party to become independents — helped block the effort.

Trump revived talk of the "nuclear option," after his returning from his Asia trip this week.

Are the Democrats nervous that we are going to find out how many non-citizens are receiving benefits?

Instagram and Twitter are abuzz with complaints about how the government shutdown is cutting SNAP benefits, and children in the U.S. are going hungry. Liberals blame Republicans for the shutdown and claim Republicans don’t care about Americans.

Of course, liberals omit the fact that the shutdown happened because Democrats refused to cut funding for illegal aliens. And as for children “going hungry,” only about 4 percent of American household’s face what’s called “food insecurity,” which is not the same as hunger. These households already qualify for federal assistance programs. In reality, there is almost no true hunger in the United States.

If Democrats are truly concerned about these people, they shouldn’t have allowed the government to shut down.

Moving from logic to data, liberal media claim that 89.4 percent of SNAP recipients are U.S.-born citizens and less than 11 percent are foreign-born, including 6.2 percent naturalized citizens, 1.1 percent refugees, and 3.3 percent other non-citizens (such as lawful permanent residents). Therefore, they say, Republicans are wrong to argue that benefits are going to illegals.

New Mexico (for instance) has 20% of their residents receiving SNAP benefits.

S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were targets of two separate vehicular assaults in the Chicago metro area. In Bensenville, Illinois and again in Norridge, IL criminal illegal aliens weaponized their vehicles in deliberate attempts to ram and injure officers carrying out their sworn duty to uphold our nation’s immigration laws.
- In the first assault in Norridge, IL, Miguel Escareno De Loera, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, rammed his vehicle into an ICE law enforcement vehicle twice. He then jumped a curb and crashed his car into a stop sign—ending his violent assault.
- Escareno De Loera entered the United States at an unknown date and unknown location, without inspection by an immigration official.
- In the second instance, Widman Osberto Lopez-Funes, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, rammed his vehicle into ICE agents during a targeted enforcement operation, and then exited the vehicle and fled into his residence in Bensenville, IL. This criminal illegal alien was later arrested on scene without incident.
- Lopez-Funes entered the United States at an unknown date and unknown location, without inspection by an immigration official.

- "Political violence targeting Donald Trump and Elon Musk is becoming increasingly normalized," researchers warned, citing the attempt on Trump's life during a campaign rally last year. "Following the July 13, 2024, attempted assassination of President Trump, tolerance — and even advocacy — for political violence appears to have surged, especially among politically left-leaning segments of the population."
- The NCRI-Rutgers study found alarming support for assassinations in a survey, identified psychological red flags and warned that online platforms help spread "radical ideation."
- The NCRI report was published in April -- months before Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a Turning Point USA-sponsored event at Utah Valley University in Orem.
- According to survey data highlighted in the report, more than 30% of respondents said it would be "at least somewhat justified to murder" prominent billionaires. The number rose to 50% for people who self-identified as "left of center."

Cops descend on condo of Minneapolis school shooter's mom after she refused to cooperate (Daily Mail)
Plainclothes FBI agents could be seen in video footage arriving at Mary Grace Westman's Naples, Florida condominium and banging on the door as the windows and shades were shuttered. It also emerged on Thursday that the Westman family has had officers called to their home in Hastings, Minnesota at least twice before.
In January 2018, a police officer in Eagan, Minnesota was dispatched to the family's home over a mental heal issue, according to a heavily-redacted police report obtained by NBC News.
- The officer notes in the report that he 'assisted Mendota Heights with a check welfare on a juvenile'.
The name of that juvenile and what exactly prompted police to be summoned to the three-bedroom home were redacted. (The Daily Mail)
- Her lawyer says (Mom) has NO culpability!
- The Trans-mom is NOT cooperating with law enforcement and appears to have fled!
- Westman’s mother (Mary Grace Westman) worked as a secretary for Annunciation Catholic School from 2016 through 2021, according to social media reports. He graduated from its grade school in 2017, a yearbook obtained by CNN revealed.
- According to court docs, at 17-years-old Robert Westman formally had his legal name changed to Robin because docs state the “minor child identifies as female and wants her name to reflect the identification.” The application for a name change for a minor was filed by the mother and a court granted the request in 2020.
- After Westman’s mother transitioned him, he wrote in a journal that he was tired of being trans.
  - The deranged gunman mused about assassinating President Trump and Jews — but ultimately decided that killing “children of innocent civilians” would bring him “the most joy,” the translated journal entries read. (NY Post)
  - The trans-terrorist admitted that he was “tired of being trans” – but by that time, the damage was already done. His mother was and is responsible for the carnage in Minneapolis.
  - Are we returning to a time in America where old-west (style) justice settles debts; such as a parent who willingly creates a trans-terrorist and then fleas when her decision takes the lives of innocent children?
  - The Dem-Coms are going to circle their wagons around the “MOTHER.” After all, she did the right thing in helping her son to transition at 17. He would have had a miserable life as a man in a woman’s body. If Isn’t that what they tell us?

Who invented conservatism? William F. Buckley? Ronald Reagan? No; it was Frank S. Meyer!
Fusionism was responsible for what we know as conservatism!
- But fusionism, we learn from Daniel J. Flynn’s “The Man Who Invented Conservatism,” was Meyer’s second attempt to reconcile a movement’s competing interests. He made his first attempt as a communist.
Born in Newark, N.J., in 1909, Meyer had a comfortable upbringing. His father was a successful manufacturer who could house his wife and son in a luxury hotel and send Frank to a private school.
By high school, he was already intellectually rebellious, and during his brief time at Princeton—the administration forced him to withdraw in his second year—he wrote pretentiously provocative essays and poems that foreshadowed his imminent political radicalism. He applied to Cambridge but was rejected; Oxford later accepted him.

The rise of America’s conservative movement was possible because its intellectuals and leaders reconciled the competing principles of traditionalists and libertarians. This balance, known as fusionism, was the work of Frank S. Meyer. In the 1950s and ’60s, Meyer urged conservatives who valued custom and order to acknowledge the virtues of freedom, even as he pressed libertarians to see the danger of spurning tradition. Flynn deepens the story dramatically. He’s especially strong on Meyer’s youth and young adulthood. I had no idea, for instance, that Meyer came from relative wealth and enjoyed a privileged wastrel youth. The Meyer that emerges is a libidinous gadabout and skeptic. He experienced antisemitism while entering Princeton.
- While there, his skepticism toward authority led him to poetically explore Milton’s Satan. “What is this but an exposition of some of the noblest qualities known to man?” the young man wrote of Paradise Lost’s sympathetic villain. “Frank did not merely disbelieve in God. He despised God,” writes Flynn.
- After leaving Princeton, it took time and expensively purchased tutoring for Meyer to gain entrance to Balliol, where he gave himself over to the Communist Party. Flynn gives us a lively portrait of the professional activist barely maintaining his studies (or not at all). He draws on an impressive range of transnational sources, including declassified MI5 reports on Meyer, to illuminate both Meyer’s personal life in the 1930s as well as the British Communist Party.

He performed an archival miracle and found fifteen unprocessed boxes of Meyer’s correspondence languishing in a warehouse. Out of this incredible trove, Flynn has produced the first biography to tackle the totality of this critical figure in the history of intellectual conservatism. (The Bullwark)

- U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are set to meet in Anchorage, Alaska, on Aug. 15, in an effort to bring the Russia–Ukraine conflict to a close.
- The summit will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since the start of Trump’s second term and the first time that the presidents of the two countries have met since Russian troops entered Ukraine in February 2022, setting off the current phase of the conflict.
- While Russian and Ukrainian forces have been in direct combat for about 3 1/2 years, the current conflict is part of a larger struggle for regional influence between Russia and the West.
- Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who had been on friendly terms with Russia, fled Ukraine in February 2014, amid violent street demonstrations over his decision to back out of an agreement to expand economic ties with the European Union.
- In February 2014, just days after Yanukovych fled Ukraine, Russian forces seized control of the Crimean Peninsula. By March, Moscow had formally declared Russia’s annexation of the territory. In Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region, pro-Russian secessionists began to break from the post-Yanukovych Ukrainian government, setting the stage for a Ukrainian internal conflict that exploded into the current war between Russia and Ukraine.
- The United States and various other countries around the world have supported Ukraine throughout the current stage of conflict, supplying weapons and financial aid to Kyiv, while expanding sanctions intended to isolate Russia financially.
- Since 2022, the United States has appropriated $175 billion in direct aid and financial support to address the ongoing conflict and related regional security efforts, with about $128 billion of that going as direct support to Ukraine, according to an assessment by the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations.
- Throughout his 2024 presidential campaign and into his second presidential term, Trump repeatedly chafed at the U.S. financial commitment to Ukraine thus far, called on Europe to take on a greater share of the financial burden for its regional security, and expressed a desire to quickly negotiate an end to the conflict.
- Although Trump said at points on the campaign trail that he could get a deal to resolve the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours of taking office, a truce has remained elusive.
- Last month, amid growing frustration with the slow pace of negotiations, the U.S. president set an Aug. 8 deadline for his Russian counterpart to agree to a cease-fire deal to avoid new U.S. sanctions and economic penalties targeting Russia and its trade partners. As this deadline passed, Trump announced that he and Putin would meet in person but provided no further update about the sanctions threat. Trump and Putin are expected to meet at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson at 11:30 a.m. local time.

- Israel has approved a ground offensive to take control of Gaza. October 7^th and the war which resulted would not have occurred if Obama and then Biden had not fueled the Iranian terror machine with billions in cash. Iran funds and arms Hamas. Whose fault is it (Hamas or the United States)?
- Will there be a Trump/Putin war summit next week? As horrible as Putin is, which country is responsible for this war? Is it Ukraine; the money laundering capitol for the great satan in Washington? Is it Russia, which was given the green light by Biden for a small incursion – even though Biden and his family enriched themselves in Ukraine? Biden and the Dem-Coms funded and armed Ukraine without an exit strategy. Again, who is responsible with this war?
- The white House Doubled its bounty on Venezuelan strong-man Nicolas Maduro head (to $50 million dollars) for sponsoring terrorism and drug running into the United States. My friends, which country invited Maduro to do exactly what he did – by opening wide our southern border and permitting his terror gangs to infiltrate into the United States. Just whose fault is it? Maduro or the United States?
