Segment Topic:

  • Friday’s SCOTUS Decision limiting Federal, District Court Judges power:

  • His new book, The Preventive State (55th or 56th book?), Professor Dershowitz addresses the preventive measures that would be constitutionally authorized to prevent a likely disaster based on intel that’s reliable but uncertain.
  • Strict constitution or legislative solutions?
  • Many of you are asking questions daily on what we can do to remain constitutional and yet save the country?

This important book offers unprecedented insights into one of the most underexamined developments of our age: the growing magnitude and frequency of cataclysmic threats, coupled with the increasingly effective—but increasingly intrusive—tools intended to predict and prevent them.

Segment Topic:

  • The “Big Beautiful Bill”
    • Do you support the “Big Beautiful Bill”?

(Courtesy NY Post):

  • Both versions will make Trump’s 2017 tax cuts permanent, reduce taxes on tips and overtime, increase border security funding and slash green-energy tax credits passed during the Biden administration — including the $7,500 credit for buying Tesla and other EVs.
  • The marquee legislation will require the Senate and House to reconcile their versions before the bill can be fully approved and go to President Trump for his signature.

Tax cuts

  • Both versions of the bill include a number of Trump’s promised tax incentives — some $3.8 trillion in tax cuts in all — but differ slightly when it comes to raw numbers.
  • The Senate version would allow Americans to deduct as much as $12,500 for overtime pay and up to $25,000 in tip income through 2028 — reductions that would drop for those making $150,000 or more. The House version didn’t put limits on the deductions.
  • The child tax credit would jump from $2,000 to $2,200 per child under the Senate bill, and adjust for inflation after this year. The House version, however, would raise the credit to $2,500 temporarily before lowering it back to $2,000 and adjusting it for inflation.
  • One of the most significant differences in the Senate bill is a provision to permanently expand the standard deduction. The House version would only see it expanded through 2028.
  • Senate lawmakers also raised a tax break for seniors to $6,000 through 2028, whereas in the House bill that figure is $4,000.

Raising the debt ceiling

  • The Senate’s version of the bill would raise the US debt limit by $5 trillion, 20% higher than the House’s proposal of $4 trillion.
  • The higher the debt ceiling, the longer Congress can go without having yet another politically fraught debate about the national debt and government spending.
    • If the Big Beautiful Bill isn’t passed, the federal government is set to run out of borrowing authority in August or September.

Cuts to food stamps spending

  • The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — food stamps or SNAP — subsidizes food for some 40 million low-income Americans. Both the Senate and House versions would cut what the US government spends on the program.
  • The Senate bill would require “able-bodied adults” to continue working up to age 64, with some exemptions carved out for parents with children under age 14. However, states would be limited in how they can waive the requirements.
  • The House version would require adults, including those with children age six or older, to work in order to qualify for benefits.
  • States would also be required to kick in more of the cost to provide food aid. The changes to the program would take effect in 2028.

State and Local Tax Deduction (SALT)

  • One of the most closely watched provisions of the Big Beautiful Bill Act in the New York City area been the SALT deduction — which caps the amount of state and local taxes taxpayers can write off on their federal income tax returns.
  • The amount is currently capped at $10,000, after Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, but both versions of the bill would boost that to $40,000 for married couples making up to $500,000 per year.
  • However, in the version advanced by the Senate, the cap would increase through 2029 then return to $10,000, while the House version would make the increased cap permanent.

Medicaid

  • Another highly contentious aspect of the legislation has been proposed changes to Medicaid, which provides health services to low-income, disabled and elderly Americans.
  • Under the House version, able-bodied, childless adults would be required to work 80 hours per month to qualify. The Senate bill widens this requirement to include adults with children age 15 or older.
  • The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the House-passed package will add $2.4 trillion to the US’ deficit over the next decade. It’s still analyzing the expected impact of the Senate version, however.

09:06 AM ET

Show Open:

  • Will the “Big Beautiful Bill” survive another RINO attack?
    • Republicans can afford to lose no more than three votes in either chamber to pass a bill the Democrats are united in opposition to.
    • The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released its assessment on Sunday of the bill’s hit to the $36.2 trillion US debt pile.
    • The Senate version is estimated to cost $3.3 trillion, $800 billion more than the version passed last month in the House of Representatives.
    • House Freedom Caucus threatens that they will not support Senate version of the “BBB.”
    • RINO Senators want to provide Medicaid for illegals, the House Freedom Caucus demands more substantive cuts. (NY Post)

09:20

Segment Topic:

  • The Senate, during a vote-a-rama on the One Big Beautiful Bill on Monday afternoon, failed to include a provision that would end illegal aliens from fraudulently receiving Medicaid benefits.
    • One Republican, RINO Susan Collins of Maine, actually voted for illegal aliens to continue receiving Medicaid benefits!
    • Four Democrats voted in favor of the Motion.
    • Per Townhall, the vote to remove illegals from Medicaid failed by a margin of 56-44.
    • Removing illegals from Medicaid benefits was one of the key provisions in the bill that the unelected Senate Parliamentarian rejected by applying the “Byrd Rule.”
      • This causes these provisions to require 60 votes instead of a simple majority.
    • This failed vote comes after RINO Thom Tillis, who announced he will not seek reelection after Trump slammed him in a statement, was railing on the Senate Floor against the bill’s cuts to Medicaid for illegal aliens, refugees, and asylum seekers. (The Gateway Pundit)
    • Budget reconciliation, or just “reconciliation,” is a legislative maneuver that allows Congress to pass legislation with only 51 votes in the Senate. Normally, legislation requires 60 votes to pass the Senate.
      • But since reconciliation bills can’t be filibustered, jamming through major legislation using reconciliation is a tool that both Republicans and Democrats have used to pass legislation when faced with slim majorities.
    • The reconciliation process comes with some extra strings attached in the Senate. Since reconciliation was originally supposed to be used to reduce the deficit, the rule is that only provisions directly impacting government spending or taxes can be passed through reconciliation. This means anything going through reconciliation has to directly impact the federal budget—and if it doesn’t, then the Senate can’t pass it through reconciliation.
      • This rule is called the Byrd rule, after Senator Robert Byrd, a Senator from West Virginia who was its principal sponsor. The Byrd rule has been law since 1990, and has been used successfully dozens of times to block so-called “extraneous” (unrelated) provisions that shouldn’t get passed through reconciliation
      • The most debatable of the Byrd rule criteria is whether a provision has a budgetary effect that is “merely incidental.” The Byrd rule gives considerable discretion to the Senate’s Parliamentarian who tells the Presiding Officer how to rule on a point of order—whichever Senator (from the majority party) is in charge of running Senate business that day — to decide what is “merely incidental.” (Indivisible.org)

Show Open:

BBB is a done deal!

House Republicans: 218 - 214

President Trump is at the height of his political power following Thursday’s passage of his “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” –  capping a remarkable two-week streak of domestic and foreign policy feats that even Democrats are calling impressive.

Trump, 79, will sign the bill fulfilling his major campaign pledges – including to cut taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits – at a pre-fireworks Independence Day party on the White House lawn.

B-2 stealth bombers will fly over the celebration in recognition of their role in the Trump-ordered June 21 US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear program, which was followed two days later by an equally unprecedented Trump-brokered cease-fire between Israel and Iran.

The commander in chief, riding high on that diplomatic coup, strong-armed NATO nations at the alliance’s annual conference to boost military spending to 5% of their GDP by 2035, after complaining for years that US allies were freeloading off American taxpayers.

He returned home to good news from the Supreme Court, which handed him wins on deporting illegal immigrants to third countries and restricting nationwide injunctions by district court judges — while CBS’s parent company agreed to fork over $16 million for deceptively editing an interview last year with Trump’s election rival, then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

Over the weekend, Canada scrapped a digital services tax against US internet giants under pressure from Trump, followed days later by the University of Pennsylvania stripping honors from transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and the announcement of a pending trade deal with Vietnam – as major stock market indices notched record highs and illegal border crossings hit new record lows.

The Big Beautiful Bill Act also includes $25 billion in funding for Trump’s “Golden Dome” missile defense program, spends more on immigration enforcement, allows tax deductions for domestic car loan interest and — in a major win for New York and New Jersey Republicans — lifts the cap on the amount of state and local taxes that can be deducted from federal returns to $40,000 from the prior $10,000.

New-york-post-collage

  • Permanent extension of much of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act
  • Nearly $150 billion in additional border security spending, including $46.5 billion to construct a US-Mexico border wall and about $30 billion to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
  • Approximately $153 billion in additional defense spending, including $25 billion for the president’s space-based “Golden Dome” missile defense system and $29 billion to boost shipbuilding
  • Debt ceiling increase by $5 trillion
  • Deduction for qualified tip wages capped at $25,000 and overtime pay capped at $12,500 for individuals for three years
  • Standard deduction gets increased by $750 for single filers, to $15,750
  • Child tax credit increased to $2,200
  • Car loan interest deduction of up to $10,000 for individuals making under $100,000 annually (couples under $200,000) who purchase US-made vehicles
  • State and local tax deduction cap raised to $40,000 through 2029
  • Excise tax on endowments goes up to 8% on wealthy colleges with at least 3,000 students, while imposing lower rates of 4% or 1.4% on institutions with fewer assets

  • Restrictions on large abortion providers, such as Planned Parenthood, from receiving Medicaid funding
  • Lifetime borrowing limit of $257,500 for federal student loans; borrowing for professional degrees capped at $50,000 per year and $200,000 lifetime; for graduate students, unsubsidized loans capped at $20,500 per year and $100,000 lifetime

    • If Iranian proxies violated the cease fire, how could they have had such powerful weapons?
    • A family of 4 was killed as the Iranian missile made a direct hit on their bomb shelter. A total of 26 civilians were injured.

09:35

Monologue:

“An unconditional surrender”

10:08

Segment Topic:

  • Shahin, I cannot imagine what you and other members of the NCRI are feeling over the past 12-days.
  • Can you tell us what is going on side Iran with the Iranian people? Many of us saw protests in Tehran and more “Death to America” chants.  Where are the Iranian people in this war?
  • There are reports that tractor trailers were lined up outside the Fordo nuclear facility prior to the U.S. bombing raid on Saturday. In addition, the IAEA says there are 400 kilograms of nuclear material unaccounted for.  Has Iran moved enriched uranium and are there hidden nuclear facilities inside Iran – where this material was moved to?
  • The cease fire has already been violated and the regime claims they are innocent. Do you fear they are no longer in control of their proxies or can they just blame the proxies when they launch further attacks at Israel and the West?
  • In the past, you have indicated that the Baby-Shah is not an option. Over the past 12-days, he has indicated that he is willing to return to Iran and take his fathers seat on an interim basis.  What is the NCRI’s response?
  • How close are we to a democratic Iran?

Panelist:

Shahin Gobadi

U.S.-educated nuclear engineer, a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Iran’s Parliament-in-Exile. Mr. Gobadi is a U.S. educated nuclear engineer.

The president-elect of the NCRI; Mrs. Maryam Rajavi issued a statement on the cease fire:

The proposal for a ceasefire and ending the war is a step forward for the third option: neither war nor appeasement. Let the people of Iran themselves, in the battle of destiny, bring down Khamenei and the dictatorship of (the Persian translation is "guardianship of the jurist" or "rule of the jurist.”

The people of Iran, in their century-long struggle, at tremendous and bloody cost, have repeatedly rejected the dictatorships of both Shah and Sheikh through successive uprisings.

I repeat that we seek a democratic, non-nuclear republic, with the separation of religion and state, gender equality, and also autonomy for Iran’s nationalities. This will bring peace, democracy, human rights, stability, reconstruction, friendship, cooperation, and economic development to the region and the world.”

10:35

Segment Topic:

  • How skeptical were you of a cease fire and not an unconditional surrender from the Regime in Tehran?
  • You speak often of your time in a bomb shelter, however; earlier today an Iranian rocket Beer-Shiva made a direct hit on an apartment complex bomb shelter killing a family of four. Your response?
  • Do you fear that the Regime is no longer in-control of its proxies and can simply blame them for any future attacks on Israel or the United States?
  • Jonathan, tell us about the children, homeless due to war. What is Genesis 1-2-3 doing to help them?

Panelist:

Jonathan Feldstein, President: Genesis 1-2-3 Foundation

Host of the “Inspiration from Zion” podcast

11:08

Segment Topic:

  • The Israeli/Iran War has had an impact on oil prices and now threatens 20% of the world crude oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
    • Oil spiked at $81 dollars a barrel and then plummeted into the $60’s by yesterday afternoon.
  • Will China get involved in Iran tries to close the Strait?
    • If Israel decides to target Iran’s oil infrastructure, what will China do?
  • If the price of oils continue downward, how will this affect exploration and production?
  • If oil hovers in the $60’s; is it a good time for President Trump to start refilling our Strategic Reserve?
    • Larry Behrens, Power the Future, opinion piece in the Daily Wire: “Running On Empty: How Biden Drained America’s Gas Tank.”
  • How is the U.S. doing to rebuild our domestic oil production? Are we close to being at the point where we were during Trump’s first term?

Could New York State lead the way with the first new, nuclear power plant built in this country in over 40-years?

Panelist:

Daniel Turner

Energy expert and founder of Power the Future.

Daniel says: “Iran is trying to use energy as a weapon, but thanks to America’s energy workers we’re producing more oil than ever and in a stronger position to withstand aggression like this. But let’s be clear—our strategic petroleum reserves are still much too low because Joe Biden drained them for political cover. Now that we’re facing international instability, we’re left to face this threat without the additional security of oil reserves. Biden’s legacy continues to weaken us.”

9:35

Monologue:

Citizenship

10:08

Segment Topic:

      • That premise is historically and morally erroneous. Even if we had cops watching us on every street corner or FBI agents virtually in every home, who will keep us safe from them?
      • And who would want to live, who could be private and free, in such an environment?
      • Didn’t we become a police state during COVID lockdowns; (traffic stops – no probable cause)?

  • Your reaction to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s news conference this morning.
  • What is your opinion of the leaked DIA report to CNN and other MSM media outlets?
  • How did you react when President Trump dropped the “F” bomb on live TV?
    • How extensive was the damage to the Iranian nuclear program?
    • Israel immediately recalled its retaliatory aircraft – what does that tell you?

Panelist:

DIAL Producers and Callers

09:35

Monologue:

“Historic as well as Biblical”

9:50

Segment Topic:

  • Living under constant threat of war!
    • Jonathan Feldstein, President of Genesis Foundation shoots video of missile interceptions from his condo rooftop!

Panelist:

DIAL Producers/callers

10:08

Segment Topic:

  • Pierre, the events unfolding before us are (in my estimation) historic as well as Biblical. Do you agree?
    • You predicted (in your book: The Response) that after the tragic events of October 7th, that Israel would be forced to attack Iran. Can you tell us why you thought that would be the case?
    • What is the situation like where you are in Israel?
    • How much time have you spent in shelters since the start of the war?
  • It appears that Israel is gearing up for a demand for unconditional surrender from Iran. Do you agree?
  • You are a French-Israeli citizen, do you predict that the large Iranian population in Paris will be a problem for Macron?
    • Is this why Macron prefers a cease fire to a surrender by Iran?

Panelist:

Pierre Rehov, French-Israeli journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker, internationally recognized for his in-depth investigations into terrorism, antisemitism, and Middle East geopolitics, is available for interview from Ashdod Israel—20 KM from Gaza. (via Zoom)

His new bestseller in France: Octobre 7 – La Riposte (“October 7 – The Response”) written with French TV producer and journalist Stéphane Simon, warned that after the Hamas massacre of October 7 Israel would inevitably be forced to strike Iran — a prediction that came true when Israel launched a counterstrike against key Iranian military and nuclear sites.

10:35

Segment Topic:

  • Jarett, first of all, congratulations on your recent work on Newsmax.
  • In your latest opinion piece in the Daily Signal: The Absurdity of the ‘No Kings’ Protests:
    • For the American protesters I find it hard to believe they just really hate royal symbolism. After all, at one point in our country’s distant past—when most of this weekend’s protests were young and “anti-establishment”—there was all kinds of media praise for “Camelot,” the Kennedy political dynasty. I’m guessing many of these protesters cast a vote for a Kennedy or two.
    • The anti-monarchy or even executive power message just doesn’t make sense. They didn’t care when President Barack Obama, the “pen and phone” president, was tearing up immigration laws to enact amnesty by executive fiat.
  • From the Israeli-Iran War to the seditionist “No King” movement, are we watching history unfold?

Panelist:

Jarrett Stepman, Daily Signal columnist and the author of "The War on History: The Conspiracy to Rewrite America's Past."

11:08

Segment Topic:

  • Trump Says Iran Wants to Talk After Waves of Israeli Strikes!
    • Whomever is in-charge in Iran walked that back a short-time later.
  • Asaf, are we witnessing history unfold before us?
  • What has been the history between the Persians and the Jewish people?
  • If the Iranian Regime falls, what will be the aftershocks throughout the Middle East?
  • What about Gaza? What about Lebanon?
  • Did President Trump’s Middle East summit last month come at the right time?
  • Is it possible to expect an expansion of the Abraham Accords if Iran Regime falls?

Panelist:

Asaf Romirowsky PhD, is the Executive Director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME). Trained as a Middle East historian he holds a PhD in Middle East and Mediterranean Studies from King’s College London, UK and has published widely on various aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict and American foreign policy in the Middle East, as well as on Israeli and Zionist history.

Dr. Romirowsky is co-author of Religion, Politics, and the Origins of Palestine Refugee Relief.

11:33

Segment Topic:

  • Is Washington Preparing for War? U.S. Air Force Reportedly Sends Out Two Mysterious Encrypted Nuclear Emergency Codes.
  • What’s going on between President Trump and Tucker Carlson?
  • Elon Musk Turns on Starlink for Iranian Public After Islamic Regime Cuts Off Internet Service
